Jonathan Blow is both the video game industry’s most cynical critic and its most ambitious game developer. As he finishes his indescribable game-opus, a trip inside the head of a videogame auteur.

Sushi Kyle Andrews

tuneage:

Monday afternoon treat!

Kyle Andrews - Sushi

To combat those Monday blues - I wanted to share this song by Kyle Andrews. It’s not new (the song was released in 2008) but I think it’s kind of the perfect india pop, pick-me-up song for a dragging afternoon.

I also recommend checking out some of his music videos. They’re adorable. “Sushi” is featured in a color festival video, the video for “You Always Make Me Smile” features a giant water balloon fight and the music video for “Kangaroo” has Andrews in a marsupial suit for goodness sake!

“Sushi” is on Andrews’s 2010 EP, Kangaroo.

“It does seem that guts and curiosity are working together. Curiosity can bring guts out of hiding at times, maybe even get them going. But curiosity usually evaporates. Guts have to go for the long haul. Curiosity’s like a fun friend you can’t really trust. It turns you on and then it leaves you to make it on your own—with whatever guts you can muster.” —Haruki Murakami, The Wind-Up Bird Chronicles (via jae-eun)

“I don’t say he’s a great man. Willie Loman never made a lot of money. His name was never in the paper. He’s not the finest character that ever lived. But he’s a human being, and a terrible thing is happening to him. So attention must be paid. He’s not to be allowed to fall in his grave like an old dog. Attention, attention must finally be paid to such a person.” —Arthur Miller, Death of a Salesman (via pettyyoungthings)
